UNFPA’s flagship State of World Population 2013 tackles addressing the challenges of adolescent pregnancy for mother, child and society from medical, societal and governmental perspectives. Prographics emphasizes the use of powerful, poignant pull quotes in the design to balance the factual content of this 116 page report with the stark, real life desperation young mothers face. This report utilizes sophisticated icons and color treatments to visualize causes, pressures, methods of progress and benefits. What the reader can’t see is the coordination necessary to make the design work across multiple language platforms with team members working concurrently on different versions to meet launch deadlines.
