ABOUT THIS PROJECT:
Every year, since 1929, Population Reference Bureau (PRB) provides the latest demographic data for the world, global regions, and more than 200 countries. 2015 data include indicators on the status of women in key areas such as education, employment, and government. Working with PRB’s editorial director and other staff, Prographics designs the layout for both sides of this comprehensive, double-sided, full-color poster. One side displays the raw data from 28 indicators for 200 countries and regions. The other side includes a special set of indicators and analytical graphics aimed at assessing the state of women’s empowerment globally. When layout is complete, we then manage printing, shipping and digital distribution.
Following the data sheet, later in the year we designed and produced a custom ‘data wheel’ giveaway based on the poster design for PRB staff to hand out at the 2015 ICFP Conference held in Nusa Dua, Indonesia. The wheel features six key indicators from the data sheet that can be ‘dialed up’ for the 20 most populated countries. We have since been asked to reprint more of these popular items for PRB to bring to other conferences.
